A Legacy of Quiet Giving

GSLVA was born out of a decade of quiet generosity.

For years, Club GSL founder Warren Van Schalkwyk found himself face to face with players who had the heart and talent to play, but whose families couldn’t afford the costs. Instead of turning them away, Warren quietly found ways to cover their fees—season after season.

Then one day, a grateful father, moved by the impact he saw in his own daughter’s life, asked, “Can I help another girl like her?” That moment became the spark that ignited something bigger.

Warren knew it was time to create a more sustainable, community-supported way to offer help—and the "Greater Salt Lake Volleyball Association" was born.
